Simple guide To Healthy Hair Growth
Some people are very lucky to be born with thick, long and beautiful hair. Unfortunately, most os us have to look for ways to get our hair to look good and encourage healthy hair growth. There are few feelings as satisfying as having luscious and healthy hair.
To get hair to grow strong, healthy and beautiful, one should follow a good and proper hair care regime. A good diet, a daily intake of vitamins and minerals and good hygiene can help stimulate healthy hair growth.
The Right Food
Nutrition is vital if you want to get healthy growing hair. Our hair is mainly composed of keratin, a protein also found on our skin and nails. So consuming the right amounts of protein is good for hair growth. Foods rich in protein are: soya beans, lentils, milk, cheese, fish, and lean meat from pork, beef and chicken.
Keep Your Hair Clean
Hygiene is imperative in the growth of hair. Daily shampooing makes the scalp ideal for hair growth. Keeping the hair and scalp clean help control sebum, a natural oil regularly produced by the sebaceous glands found underneath our skin. Sebum is a natural skin and hair condition; it does a good job in keeping our skin and hair moisturized. The only problem with sebum is if not washed regularly, this oil can accumulate, making hair greasy and oily. This oiliness can easily attract dust and dirt and could sometimes cause fungal or bacterial infections to the scalp.
Do Not Use Heat
The use of hot ceramic plates for hair straightening, hair curlers or blow driers can really damage hair, vaporizing the little moisture the hair hold. Constant use of these products can make hair dull, dry and brittle which can cause hair breakage. Use only when needed or on special occasions.
Try towel drying or using curlers instead of a curling iron to avoid any unnecessary heat on the scalp.
If you follow these instructions, eat the right foods, keep your hair clean and generally take care of your scalp, you will have gorgeous hair in no time!
